My vision for a well connected, well informed community.
Government transparency is one of my top priorities.
When I decided to run for office, I thought of ways to connect the community so that we can be well informed on all important matters of our day to day lives. Such as traffic congestion advisories, natural disaster awareness and preparedness, community project proposals, community events, but most importantly governmental matters.
Over the past 3 years, I have spent a lot of time on social media putting out call to actions on legislative bills that can negatively and positively impact our community. Unfortunately, there are many bills that are passed without the State of Hawaii residents knowing about it, therefore we hear none to very little testimonies from the community.
One of my goals before this election season is over, is to connect the community through my kamaaina pipeline. I thought of ways how I can not only be the voice, but how can your voices be heard, and fast?
I am a part of many important awareness groups on telegram, and most times we hear about events, legislative bills, and other important matters from this platform. My goal is to use kamaaina platform as a community connector so that if elected, I can send out notices of legislative bills that need your voice, or send out advisories on other areas such as traffic, events, or even natural disasters.
Additionally, emergency preparedness is something I am passionate about. There are threats of an EMP attack coming soon from enemies overseas, and we can create a safer community when we have a well prepared community. One of my goals with Kamaaina pipeline is to connect the farmers, hunters and gatherers to the community members so we can organize food resource hubs. Also, local companies/community members who can offer free community classes on how to grow food, and prepare your households in the event of an emergency.
If you are interested in staying connected and up to date on community matters that often go unheard, please join my kamaaina pipeline by scanning the QR code above. You can do that by pulling up your camera app on your smart device, and clicking the link that pops up when you scan it.
Whether or not I get in to office, this will be a great tool for our community to stay connected.
Mahalo for your support!
